SANDISK
AND SILICONSYSTEMS SIGN CROSS LICENSE
AGREEMENT COVERING FLASH PATENTS
SUNNYVALE, CA, June 25,
2004 - SanDisk Corporation (NASDAQ: SNDK) and SiliconSystems,
Inc., announced today that they have signed a cross license
agreement covering flash memory patents. According to the
terms of the agreement, SanDisk and SiliconSystems will
be cross-licensed to use flash system patents of both companies
for specifically defined product applications. Details of
the agreement are confidential.
Richard Chernicoff, vice president
of business development at SanDisk, said, “This license
agreement is tailored to SiliconSystems’ exclusive
focus on the enterprise system OEM market. We are pleased
with the agreement and look forward to future business cooperation
