Proven Performance and Reliability in Enterprise OEM Applications
Aliso Viejo, Calif., November
10, 2004 -- SiliconSystems, Inc., a leading provider of solid-state
storage solutions to the Enterprise System OEM market, today announced
that it will offer a 5 year warranty on its entire family of standard
SiliconDrive 2.5”, Module, CF and PC Card products. Customers
deploying SiliconDrives that integrate SiliconSystems’ patented
and patent-pending application-specific solutions for data sanitization
and purge, password and write protection, or enhanced capacity and
speed have the option for an extended warranty based on the application
requirement.
“Field deployment and laboratory test data has proven that SiliconDrives
will stand up to the most demanding applications,” explains
Dave Merry, SiliconSystems’ CTO. “Since we are focused
exclusively on the Enterprise System OEM market, we have always made
our design choices with performance and reliability in mind.”
“Our customers design their equipment for a 3-5 year product
lifecycle,” said Gary Drossel, director of product marketing
for SiliconSystems. “Some, especially in the military and medical
markets, can be deployed for 10 years or more. SiliconDrives meet
